Several individuals are believed to be trapped beneath debris following a landslide reported in the Lower Kadugannawa area, police said.
The landslide had occurred on a shop near the Ganetenna Junction this morning.
The incident has also caused major disruption to vehicular movement along the affected route, with traffic temporarily halted as rescue operations remain underway. (Newswire)
