NOLIMIT has pledged Rs. 60 million to support disaster relief and recovery efforts in the wake of Cyclone Ditwah, which triggered severe flooding and landslides across Sri Lanka and displaced large numbers of families. The company announced that its contribution includes both financial assistance to the government and extensive on-ground support in affected areas.

As part of the pledge, Rs. 15 million has been officially donated to the Government of Sri Lanka to assist urgent national recovery initiatives. The cheque was handed over to Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya at the Prime Minister’s Office on 8 December. The Prime Minister acknowledged the contribution and noted the importance of private sector support in national emergencies.

NOLIMIT said that an additional Rs. 45 million will be directed toward relief operations in multiple districts affected by floods and landslides. These efforts include distributing essential supplies, extending assistance to impacted families and providing continued support to communities during rebuilding.

The company has also introduced support measures for its employees in affected areas, offering disaster recovery assistance and essential resources.

All initiatives are being carried out through ‘Aseemitha’, NOLIMIT’s corporate social responsibility arm, which focuses on healthcare, childcare, education, culture and sports-based community welfare programmes.

The company stated that the relief activities aim to contribute to national recovery and help affected communities reconnect with livelihoods disrupted by the disaster.
