Veteran Sri Lankan singer and actor Priyankara Perera has passed away at the age of 64.
Perera, who had been ill for some time, passed away on September 1 while receiving treatment at the National Hospital in Colombo, according to hospital sources.
The son of popular singer Milton Perera, Priyankara Perera followed in his father’s footsteps and established himself in Sri Lanka’s entertainment industry.
He performed a number of popular songs during his career while also making his mark as an actor.
Perera appeared in several Sri Lankan films and television dramas, contributing to both the country’s music and acting industries. (Newswire)
