Police have arrested two suspects, aged 51 and 28, in connection with the theft of more than 1,000 metres of telephone cables in the Hatton Police Division.
The suspects were taken into custody by officers attached to the Hatton Police Crime Division on May 16, following an investigation into the incident, which had been reported to police on March 28.
According to police, approximately 1,090 metres of telephone cable had been cut and stolen and investigators also recovered a stock of high-value cables and copper wires concealed inside a house during the operation. (Newswire)
