Blue Lanka Tours becomes one of the recipients of the Sustainable Tourism Certificate awarded to SMEs in Sri Lanka, making tangible contributions to sustainable and responsible tourism. It recognises BLT’s contribution to environmental protection, social inclusion, economic fairness and cultural preservation.
The certificate, awarded in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and The Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN), is endorsed by Green Destinations, a global certification body. A rigorous, evidence-based evaluation selects worthy recipients.
It qualifies Blue Lanka Tours for the Good Travel Seal, which recognises the company’s outstanding commitment to environmental stewardship, community empowerment, responsible travel practices, healthy work environments and equitable workplace values.
