Malaysian police have dismantled a heroin-processing syndicate in Bukit Tambun, detaining two Malaysians and a Sri Lankan national, aged 25–46.
In two raids, officers seized over 1.7kg of heroin, 26kg of caffeine, chemicals, and equipment worth RM74,500.
Police said the syndicate had operated since January, producing heroin for the local market.
The Sri Lankan man had no prior record, while the two Malaysians were repeat offenders.
The haul is estimated to supply nearly 49,500 addicts. (Newswire)
