A 27-year-old man has been killed following an assault in the Nawala area within the Welikada Police Division.
Police said the victim, a resident of Rajagiriya, was assaulted following a dispute involving a group of individuals.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the dispute escalated, resulting in the fatal assault.
The victim’s body has been placed at the Kalubowila Hospital mortuary.
