President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Prof. N.D. Fernando as the new vice chancellor of the University of Kelaniya.
The appointment letter was presented to Fernando by Secretary to the President Nandika Sanath Kumanayake at the Presidential Secretariat today (22).
Fernando previously served as chairman of People’s Bank and has been a professor in the Department of Finance at the University of Kelaniya.
His appointment will take effect Aug. 24. (Newswire)
