President Ranil Wickremesinghe has distributed freehold deeds to 408 individuals in Jaffna for cultivation purposes.
According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), the land distribution was carried out as part of the Urumaya National Program which aims to distribute 2 million freehold deeds to the deserving public.
As part of the land distribution today, the President released 234 acres of land which were previously held by the Jaffna Security Forces Headquarters.
The lands were distributed to farmers for cultivation purposes in 5 Grama Niladhari Divisions in Jaffna.
