Rs. 20 Million Donation from Yaden Labs to Aid Sri Lanka’s Post-Cyclone Rebuild

Yaden Laboratories (Pvt) Ltd., a fully Sri Lankan-owned pharmaceutical manufacturer, has donated Rs. 20 million to the ‘Rebuild Sri Lanka Fund’ to support national recovery and rebuilding efforts following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

The donation was handed over by the company’s Chairman and Managing Director, Shashimal Dissanayake, to the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, at the Presidential Secretariat on 09 December 2025. Senior officials of Yaden Laboratories, including CEO Prakash Babu, COO Hirantha Fernando, and CFC Gayan Rajapakshe, were present at the event.

Yaden Laboratories operates a state-of-the-art sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facility located within the Katunayake Export Processing Zone. The company specializes in four core dosage forms: liquid ampoules, liquid vials, eye and ear drops, and pre-filled syringes. With a focus on local innovation, the company aims to meet Sri Lanka’s healthcare needs through safe, high-quality medical products.
