The National Housing Development Authority (NHDA) general manager has been sent on compulsory leave, according to a written notice issued by NHDA Chairman J.K.A. Sirinatha.
The general manager has been placed on compulsory leave with pay and has been prohibited from entering any NHDA office or worksite during the period of leave, according to the notice.
He has also been instructed not to travel overseas without the chairman’s prior approval.
The decision was taken following the preliminary disclosure of several serious instances of misconduct allegedly committed by the general manager in violation of the Establishments Code and the disciplinary regulations of the NHDA.
NHDA Chairman J.K.A. Sirinatha said legal action would be taken against the general manager if the allegations made against him are proven. (Newswire)
