The official reserve assets were valued at USD 6,080 million in June 2025, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

The Weekly Economic Indicators Report of the Central Bank shows that this figure stood at USD 6,286 million in May 2025.

This indicates a decline of USD 206 million, or 3.3%, in official reserve assets held by the Central Bank during June.

The primary reason for this drop has been identified as a decrease in foreign currency reserves, which fell from USD 6,231 million to USD 6,023 million. (Newswire)
