Dishal De Silva, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Travel Fantasy DMC (Pvt) Ltd, has been appointed Senior Vice President of the Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka (TAASL), further strengthening his leadership role within the country’s travel and tourism sector.
The appointment was made at the association’s 51st Annual General Meeting, held on 17 September 2026 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
De Silva previously served as Junior Vice President of TAASL, contributing to the association’s work in representing travel agents and supporting collaboration across Sri Lanka’s tourism and aviation industries.
TAASL plays an important role in bringing together travel agents and tour operators while engaging with airlines, tourism authorities and other key industry stakeholders. The association also supports the development of professional standards and stronger cooperation within Sri Lanka’s travel sector.
De Silva’s appointment comes at a time when the country’s tourism industry continues to expand, with renewed international travel, evolving customer expectations and greater demand for high-quality destination management and travel services.
Alongside his role at TAASL, De Silva leads Travel Fantasy DMC, a Sri Lankan destination management company involved in inbound and outbound travel, leisure holidays and customised tourism services.
In his new role, De Silva is expected to contribute to TAASL’s efforts to strengthen industry partnerships, support travel agents and promote sustainable growth across Sri Lanka’s tourism sector.
His appointment also reflects his continued involvement in the development of the country’s travel trade and provides a broader platform to contribute to the future of Sri Lanka tourism, destination management and the travel industry.
