The Welfare Benefits Board says payments under the Aswesuma 2026 June elderly allowance will be disbursed in two phases, with beneficiaries able to access funds from today (3) through their Aswesuma bank accounts.
Under the first phase, payments have been credited to 621,761 beneficiaries aged over 70, amounting to Rs. 3,108,805,000, while in the second phase, 76,139 beneficiaries will receive Rs. 380,695,000.
The Board said eligible recipients can withdraw their payments from their respective Aswesuma-linked bank accounts starting today. (Newswire)
