
Padma Shri award-winning veteran Bollywood singer Anuradha Paudwal, who is currently visiting Sri Lanka, met with JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva on Wednesday (21 Jan) at the party’s main office in Battaramulla.
The occasion was also attended by JVP Central Committee member and Minister of Health and Media, Nalinda Jayatissa, along with First Secretary of the Indian High Commission Roshni Thomson, Director of the Vivekananda Cultural Centre Professor Ankuran Dutta, and Kaushalya Wickramasinghe, the organizer of the “Timeless Bollywood Melodies” musical program, among others.
Minister Nalinda Jayatissa extended his best wishes for the upcoming concert titled “Anuradha Paudwal Live in Sri Lanka – Timeless Bollywood Melodies” scheduled to be held tomorrow (23 Jan) at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre, while both he and the JVP General Secretary were invited by the group to attend the event.
This meeting was regarded as an important occasion that further strengthened cultural friendship and exchange between Sri Lanka and India. (Newswire)
