Opposition MP Mano Ganeshan has questioned Deputy Minister Chathuranga Abeysinghe over his recent claim that opposition parties distributed narcotics during the election campaign.
Ganeshan stated that the allegation goes beyond politics and involves serious criminal conduct.
He urged the Deputy Minister to immediately provide all relevant information to the Police Narcotics Bureau, and to explain why such claims were not reported during the election period.
“The issue is not the election anymore – it’s about drugs and crime. He must cooperate with law enforcement without delay,” Ganeshan said. (Newswire)
