A 15-year-old girl has been attacked with a knife by an individual while attending Sunday school at a Buddhist temple, the Gal Oya Police stated.
According to the Police, the attack had taken place due to the victim having refused a love proposal.
Investigations reveal that the suspect had entered the Buddhist Temple and had attacked the Grade 11 student while at Sunday school.
The Police have arrested the suspect along with the knife used in the attack.
The injured victim has been admitted to the Kantale Hospital and is reportedly not in serious condition. (NewsWire)
