The inaugural player auction of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) will take place at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo on 14th June.
This is the first time the tournament, which is Sri Lanka’s topmost domestic T20 league with an international flavour, is conducting a player auction.
The SLC stated that each franchise team will bring in a sum of US$ 500,000 for the auction to bid for players, thus totalling up to an overall sum of US$ 2.5 million from all five teams.
358 players will be auctioned on 14th along with several prominent foreign players.
