Sri Lanka Women’s cricket team skipper Chamari Atapattu has encouraged young women in Sri Lanka to break barriers and achieve big.
Featuring in an inspirational video, the Sri Lanka cricket great has called on young girls to put aside the stereotypical advice constantly issued to women, especially once they come of age, and to work towards achieving their dreams.

“When I became a big girl, my parents never forced any of these barriers on me. That’s why, today, I have become a big girl in the world of cricket. Let’s take away these barriers and help our big girls become the best they can be,” Chamari Atapattu says.
