Nine Sri Lankan’s have qualified to participate in the Tokyo Olympic games 2020.
Yupun Abeykoon and Nimali Liyanarachchi have been included in Sri Lanka’s nine -member athlete squad to compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Badminton player Niluka Karunaratne has qualified for the Tokyo Olympics 2020. 36 year old Niluka Karunaratne also competed in 2012 and 2016 Olympics.. He captained the Sri Lankan contingent to the 2012 Summer Olympics. Karunaratne also competed in five consecutives Commonwealth Games from 2002–2018.
