The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) announced yesterday (18) that all fuel orders for April have been finalized.

The Managing Director of the CPC, Mayura Neththikumara, said that orders for five fuel ships were confirmed, ensuring adequate reserves for the coming month.

“Earlier, we confirmed that fuel would last only until the end of April, based on the number of ships finalized by the end of March. Now, ships have been confirmed up to the fourth month. As a result, fuel reserves are assured until the end of next month. There is no problem regarding fuel,” he said.

He noted that users can log into the QR system and refresh it to check whether their fuel quota has been received, adding that issues faced by those who had not received their previous quota have now been resolved.

“The technical errors in the QR system have now been resolved. Remember that only one vehicle can be registered under the same phone number and the same identity card number,” he said.

Mayura Neththikumara made the remarks as the CPC seeks to stabilize fuel supply and address technical concerns in the distribution system, amidst the fuel supply issue faced due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East region. (Newswire)
