Sri Lanka fast bowler Lahiru Kumara is on his way to the Caribbean to join Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Kumara is travelling to link up with the franchise following the conclusion of Sri Lanka’s two-Test home series against India.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka all-rounder Dunith Wellalage will not join Hampshire for a proposed red-ball stint in England after he was not granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
The exact reason for Wellalage not being granted the NOC is not known.
Wellalage, who is among Sri Lanka Cricket’s centrally contracted players for the 2026–27 season, had been lined up as an overseas option for Hampshire. His proposed move has since fallen through due to the NOC issue. (Newswire)
