The son of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Jagath Vithana, who was arrested for allegedly possessing an illegally assembled vehicle, has been remanded until August 1 by the Mathugama Magistrate.
He was taken into custody by the Panadura-Walana Anti-Vice Squad in the Mathugama area on Saturday (19). Police said investigations are ongoing into the suspected illegal assembly or importation of the vehicle. (NewsWire)
