Sources from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) state that a new political initiative titled “Mahinda Sulangin Namal Suwanda” is set to be launched soon.
Following his departure from the official residence in Colombo, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has reportedly resumed political activities and meetings with party supporters while residing in Tangalle.
A senior spokesperson from the SLPP noted that, just as the “Mahinda Sulanga” movement was launched after the former president lost office, this new political initiative is also expected to be introduced in the near future. (Newswire)
