The new format and specifications for tax invoices to be issued by all individuals registered for Value Added Tax (VAT), which were scheduled to commence today (April 1), have been postponed.
The Commissioner General of Inland Revenue announced that the implementation date has been extended by three months, with the new system now set to take effect from July 1, 2026.
The change follows an amendment to Extraordinary Gazette Notification No. 2463/05, dated November 17, 2025, which had earlier prescribed April 1 as the effective date.
The revised regulations will apply to all persons registered for VAT. (Newswire)
