Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, who was remanded over money laundering allegations linked to the Airbus case, has been released on bail by the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court.
Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amaraseena ordered Rajapaksa to be released on a cash bail of Rs. 500,000 and two surety bails of Rs. 30 million each.
The court also imposed a travel ban on Rajapaksa and ordered that the restriction be notified to the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration.
As a further bail condition, the magistrate ordered Rajapaksa not to interfere with witnesses.
