The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has permitted schools to allow students to wear clothing that provides better protection against mosquito bites as part of measures to reduce the risk of dengue.
In a media release, the ministry said school principals have been instructed to allow students to wear suitable clothing that covers their arms and legs in addition to the school uniform.
The ministry has also advised principals to educate students on the use of mosquito repellents that meet the required standards.
The measures have been introduced to help protect schoolchildren from dengue mosquito bites. (Newswire)
