
Sri Lanka’s dengue death toll has risen to 61, while the number of cases reported so far this year has reached 80,905, according to the National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU).
The NDCU said 25,530 cases were recorded in July alone as of July 24.
Gampaha has reported the highest number of cases at 17,135, followed by Colombo with 16,140 and Matara with 5,574.
The Western Province accounts for 42,835 cases, while the Southern and Central provinces have recorded 12,260 and 6,924 cases, respectively. (Newswire)
