US President Donald Trump has urged countries facing fuel shortages, including the United Kingdom, due to disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz to secure their own oil supplies, signaling that the United States may not intervene to assist allies.
In a social media post, Trump suggested that countries experiencing shortages should consider purchasing oil from the United States or finding alternative means to secure supplies.
“If they don’t, they should go to the Strait and just take it,” Trump said, adding that the United States “won’t be there to help anymore” and urging countries to “go get your own oil.” (Newswire)
