A 14-year-old girl has been killed in a road accident involving a bus and a motorcycle in Kuda Oya, Police said.
The accident occurred Sunday morning when a bus collided with an oncoming motorcycle along the Weherayaya–Siripura road.
The girl, who was travelling as a pillion rider, died on admission to hospital. The rider sustained serious injuries and was transferred to the Monaragala Hospital for further treatment.
The victim was a resident of Ethiliwewa.
The bus driver has been arrested, and Police are investigating. (Newswire)
