Three youths who went bathing in the Victoria Reservoir near the Bambaragala Temple area in the Teldeniya Police Division have drowned, police said.
According to police, four youths had entered the reservoir to bathe, during which two youths initially drowned and their bodies were recovered.
Another youth had gone missing following the incident, while one youth was rescued safely.
Police later recovered the body of the missing youth, raising the death toll to three.
The group are residents of Werallagama in Kandy and are aged between 18 and 21. (NewsWire)
