Sri Lanka Police has called on the public to report individuals who have suddenly acquired significant assets or are living luxurious lifestyles without any apparent lawful source of income.
Police said the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and other law enforcement authorities are closely monitoring such cases as part of ongoing investigations into illegally acquired wealth.
The investigations primarily target assets believed to have been obtained through drug trafficking and other unlawful activities, with operations continuing across the country.
Police urged the public to provide information on suspicious individuals and activities, saying public cooperation is essential to support investigations and safeguard the wellbeing of society. (Newswire)
