An anti-war exhibition and conference highlighting the humanitarian, political, and economic impacts of the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran was held in Colombo today.

The event, titled “The Story Within Blood and Tears”, was organised by the National Freedom Front at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.

Organisers said the exhibition aimed to present an analytical perspective on the crises triggered by the war, with a focus on its human cost.

Creative displays depicting the horrors of war were showcased throughout the exhibition hall, including installations using teddy bears collected from the public in recent days. A photographic exhibition portraying the devastation caused by war was also featured.

The conference that followed included keynote speeches by international political analyst Mohan Samaranayake and National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa.

Among those present were Iran’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Alireza Delkhosh, embassy officials, foreign diplomats, members of the Maha Sangha, political party leaders, public representatives, intellectuals, artists, journalists, and members of the public. (Newswire)
