As Sri Lanka’s construction and infrastructure sectors enter a new phase of transformation, INSEE, a leading construction solutions provider in Sri Lanka, hosted INSEE Industry Connect 2026, bringing together key stakeholders from across the country’s construction ecosystem. The event was held on 21 October 2026 at Cinnamon Life, Colombo.
With renewed economic activity and infrastructure development creating new opportunities, the construction industry faces a growing need to build smarter, more efficiently and more sustainably. Advances in technology, changing customer expectations and a growing focus on environmental responsibility are also strengthening the need for greater industry collaboration.
Held under the theme “Innovate. Integrate. Impact.”, INSEE Industry Connect 2026 served as a thought-leadership and collaboration platform, bringing together industrial customers, contractors, ready-mix concrete customers, architects, consultants, technology providers, government engineers, institutional project managers, policymakers and academics.

The forum reinforced INSEE’s commitment to “Building Sri Lanka’s Future”, encouraging stronger collaboration across the construction ecosystem to build sustainable and resilient infrastructure while creating lasting value for future generations.
Delivering the keynote address, Eng. Thusith Gunawarnasuriya, Chief Executive Officer, INSEE Lanka, highlighted the importance of preparing Sri Lanka’s construction industry for its next growth cycle through greater productivity, modern materials, digital practices and stronger collaboration.
“Sri Lanka is entering a new era of construction, where growth will depend on building smarter. Technology alone cannot transform the sector; methods, people and partnerships must evolve together. By working together, we can shape the future of Sri Lanka’s construction ecosystem.”
Sitthichai Siriuvithtaya, Senior Vice President, Commercial, INSEE Thailand, shared insights from Thailand’s construction and cement industry transformation over the past 20 years, drawing parallels between Thailand’s earlier stage of industry development and the opportunities now emerging in Sri Lanka. He traced the industry’s evolution from basic product supply to more advanced, solution-based construction practices, offering relevant lessons for Sri Lanka’s next stage of development.

The event’s three pillars, Innovate, Integrate and Impact, highlighted the need to embrace new technologies and ways of working, connect expertise and capabilities across the construction ecosystem, and translate collaboration into sustainable economic, environmental and social value. INSEE i2i, the company’s innovation-to-industry collaboration space, further supports this ambition by advancing innovation across the construction sector.
By combining technical expertise, innovation, construction solutions and sustainability leadership, INSEE aims to work with industry partners to build a more productive, resilient and competitive construction sector for Sri Lanka.
