The high-stakes Asia Cup Group A contest between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium ended on a striking note as players from both sides did not shake hands after the match
The Indian team’s controversial decision came after India secured a commanding win on Sunday. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube saw out the win, but post-match scenes showed the two teams walking off without the customary handshake.
After India’s win, the Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha went to towards the Indian dressing room but none of the Indian players came out.
Captain Suryakumar hit the six, and called his teammate Dube, and the duo walked down the Indian hut straightaway. (Times of India)
Well done Team India! After hitting the winning shot, Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube went straight towards the dressing room. No one from the Indian dugout came out to shake hands, while the Pakistan team stood waiting, but the Indian team didn’t shake hands with them.💪🇮🇳 pic.twitter.com/Qld6Kf0KhO
