The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has raided a location where urea fertiliser stocks had allegedly been altered and prepared for sale with falsified pricing information.
The raid was carried out following a complaint received by the CAA’s Matara District Office.
179 bags of 50kg urea fertiliser, with tampered price labels and altered details, were discovered at the site.
The suspects and the seized stock are to be produced before the Matara Magistrate’s Court for legal action. (NewsWire)
