ANIMALIA — A Photographic Journey Through the Wild, by wildlife photographer Vasantha Wanigasooriya (Vassa), was launched in Colombo at Barefoot Garden Café.
The coffee-table book features a curated collection of wildlife images from Sri Lanka, Kenya, India, Malaysia and Australia, including rare photographs of Sri Lanka’s first recorded black leopard, a white elephant and a white monkey.
The collection reflects years spent observing wildlife in its natural habitat, capturing both rare encounters and quiet, intimate moments in the wild.
Through ANIMALIA, Vassa brings together not just photographs, but stories of the animals, places and experiences behind them. All proceeds from the book will go towards conservation efforts.
