Ali Global Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, a Colombo-based vehicle importer with 35 years of experience in the automobile industry, has hosted a delegation representing one of Japan’s leading vehicle auction and export companies to strengthen its international business partnerships.

The company, which ranks among Sri Lanka’s top 10 vehicle importers, held discussions with the Japanese delegation on increasing vehicle purchasing capacity, expanding direct imports from Japan and offering vehicles to Sri Lankan customers at more competitive prices.

The Japanese company currently supplies vehicles directly to Ali Global Lanka through its established auction and export network. Discussions focused on strengthening supply arrangements, reducing sourcing costs and exploring new opportunities to provide quality Japanese vehicles to Sri Lankan customers in a more cost-effective manner.

Ali Global Lanka Chairman Ismath Ali said the visit represented another important milestone in the company’s efforts to build long-term relationships with established Japanese vehicle suppliers.

With 35 years of experience in the vehicle business, Ali Global Lanka has continued to expand its operations and strengthen its presence in Sri Lanka’s automobile market.

According to company records, Ali Global Lanka has sold and delivered more than 1,000 vehicles since Sri Lanka reopened vehicle imports in 2025.

The company said its direct relationships with Japanese exporters have helped improve vehicle sourcing, quality assurance and competitive pricing, allowing customers to access vehicles at more affordable prices.

Both parties are expected to further expand their partnership and explore additional business opportunities in the Sri Lankan automobile sector.

Meanwhile, Ali Global Lanka has also introduced several customer engagement initiatives, including a special raffle draw offering Rs. 1 million in cash prizes.

The promotion, running until Nov. 30, offers prizes of Rs. 500,000, Rs. 250,000 and Rs. 150,000 to vehicle purchasers, while a separate Rs. 100,000 prize is available to eligible participants without requiring a vehicle purchase.

Winners will be announced during a live draw on Dec. 1, as part of the company’s ongoing customer appreciation initiatives. (Newswire)
