N-able and SLT-MOBITEL officially kicked off the revamp of SLT’s Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform, reinforcing their long-standing partnership in driving enterprise integration and digital innovation.

Originally implemented as the first enterprise-scale SOA initiative in Sri Lanka, the platform transformed SLT’s operational landscape by automating core order management processes using IBM technologies. The initiative established N-able as a key technology partner within SLT’s operational backbone and laid the foundation for scalable service integration and process automation.
The revamped SOA initiative is expected to enhance operational agility, streamline service orchestration, and support the delivery of more seamless customer experiences across the SLT-MOBITEL ecosystem.
“This engagement represented more than just a technology revamp; it reaffirmed a long-standing partnership built on trust, innovation, and delivery excellence,” said Saman Abeysekara, Chief Officer of SLT. “As we continued to evolve our digital ecosystem and strengthen collaboration across SLT-MOBITEL, N-able’s expertise and deep understanding of our architecture made them the ideal partner to lead this initiative.”
Prasad Kularatne, Chief Technical Advocate of N-able, stated, “The original SOA/BPM implementation was a landmark achievement for both organizations and a defining milestone in Sri Lanka’s enterprise technology landscape, successfully bridging the gap between legacy OSS/BSS systems and a modern digital customer engagement platform. This next phase represents far more than a technology upgrade – it establishes a scalable, future-ready digital foundation designed to accelerate business agility, strengthen integration across the SLT-MOBITEL ecosystem, and enable increasingly intelligent and autonomous IT operations”.
The kick-off event brought together leadership teams, technology stakeholders, and project teams from both organizations to align on the strategic roadmap for the platform revamp initiative and reaffirm their commitment to driving digital innovation at scale.
Building on a partnership that has spanned over a decade, this next phase marks an important milestone in the continued evolution of SLT-MOBITEL’s technology landscape. By combining deep domain expertise with a shared focus on innovation, N-able and SLT-MOBITEL are laying the foundation for a more agile, connected, and future-ready enterprise capable of delivering greater value to customers and accelerating digital progress across the telecommunications sector.
