Perera Driving School Nugegoda has been awarded the prestigious “Best Driving School in Sri Lanka” title at the International Automobile Industry Awards 2026, held at Temple Trees and organized by the Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC).

The recognition marks a significant milestone for the institution, which has built a reputation for excellence in driver education and road safety over more than seven decades. Founded over 70 years ago, Perera Driving School has remained a family-led organization and is currently guided by its third generation of leadership.
Throughout its history, the driving school has trained thousands of motorists, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and discipline required to become safe, responsible, and professional drivers. Its continued commitment to high standards in driver training has made it one of the most trusted names in the industry.
The International Automobile Industry Awards 2026, the first awards programme of its kind organized by the Automobile Association of Ceylon, celebrated outstanding achievements across 18 sectors of the automobile industry. The event also honoured four distinguished individuals with Lifetime Achievement Awards in recognition of their contributions to the sector.
