Police have launched an investigation into a suspected death after a man was found dead inside his residence in the Narahenpita area of Colombo on Friday.
Police said the incident was reported on the afternoon of December 19 from Kirula Road under the Narahenpita Police Division.
The deceased was identified as a 70-year-old resident of the Narahenpita area who had been living alone, police said.
The body remains at the scene under police protection pending a magistrate’s inquiry, while further investigations are being carried out by Narahenpita Police. (Newswire)
