A Police Constable attached to the Padiyathalawa Police Station in Ampara is reported to have died by suicide using his official firearm.
The Police said the Police Constable was found dead inside the security guardpost at the Police Station at around 5.15 am today.
The deceased has been identified as a 59-year-old resident of Bibile. (Newswire)
