The Cabinet has approved obtaining US$50 million in Special Drawing Rights (SDR) from the World Bank Group for the Sri Lanka Digital Transformation Project.
The project, aligned with the Digital Economy Strategy (2025–2030), aims to modernize public service delivery through efficient and transparent digital systems.
The Ministry of Finance will obtain the loan on behalf of the Government, while GovTec Sri Lanka will serve as the implementing agency. The Ministry of Digital Economy will oversee policy supervision and coordination. (Newswire)
