Mahinda Rajapaksa leaves Wijerama residence

15 Sri Lankan underworld figures arrested overseas : Public Minister
Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala told Parliament that 15 Sri Lankan underworld figures and drug lords with Interpol red notices have been arrested in Russia, Oman, Dubai, and India. He said steps are being taken to bring them back to Sri Lanka and noted measures such as facial recognition at Katunayake Airport, islandwide raids, and a police database to track and apprehend wanted suspects.
