Over 94,000 tourist arrivals have been recorded within the first 11 days of January 2026, according to official data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
The SLTDA reports that a total of 94,041 tourists arrived in the country between 01-11 January 2026.
The highest tourist arrival was reported from India, amounting to 16,772, followed by Russia (10,9270), the United Kingdom (8,676), Germany (7,060), and Australia (4,591).
