Police arrested 853 suspects during islandwide operations conducted yesterday (15).
A total of 31,525 individuals were searched during the operations, Police said. Among them, 20 suspects were directly identified in connection with criminal offenses.
Police also arrested 429 warrant suspects and 203 individuals wanted on open warrants. In addition, 527 drunk drivers and 96 individuals for reckless driving were taken into custody.
Police said 4,560 persons were arrested for other traffic-related offenses. (Newswire)
