Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon, who was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) yesterday, has been remanded.
The Fort Magistrate’s Court remanded Tennakoon until 27th August after he was presented before the court today.
The CID had arrested Deshabandu Tennakoon in connection with a case related to the ‘Aragalaya’ people’s struggle in 2022, in which he was named as a suspect. (Newswire)
