
The Consumer Affairs Authority has issued a revised gazette notification increasing the maximum retail prices of locally packaged and bottled drinking water, effective from today (10).
Under the new prices, 500ml to 999ml bottles can be sold at a maximum of Rs. 80, up from Rs. 70.
The price of 1L to 1.49L bottles has been increased from Rs. 100 to Rs. 120, while 1.5L to 1.99L bottles have increased from Rs. 130 to Rs. 150.
The maximum price of 2L to 2.49L bottles has been raised from Rs. 160 to Rs. 180, while 5L to 6.99L bottles have increased from Rs. 350 to Rs. 400. (Newswire)
