A shooting was reported at a house in the Omaththa area of Elpitiya last night (05).
Police said the attack was carried out by a suspect who had arrived on a motorcycle. No injuries were reported, though a window of the house was damaged in the incident.
The motive behind the shooting is yet to be established. However, police suspect it may have been in retaliation for information provided to law enforcement regarding drug-related activities in the area.
Elpitiya Police are conducting further investigations.
