Indictments were filed at the Colombo High Court today against the General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena Organization, Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera, in connection with an incident involving the release of a statement deemed insulting to Islam.
The indictments were formally presented during proceedings held earlier in the day.
Following the indictment, the Colombo High Court ordered Gnanasara Thera’s release on bail. (Newswire)
